Wooden Chess Pieces

Hand carved each one of these. took me a long time to finish. About a year I think, but I did take long breaks in between. Cutting myself in learning how to wood carve made me pause as well to heal. (thats funny in hindsight.) From left to right top to bottom:

Cyclops, griffon, Tengu, Cthulhu, Medusa, Tengu, Griffon and Cyclops.

Tiki, Dragon, Wendigo, Death, Devil, Wendigo, Dragon, Tiki

Pawns are Easter Island heads.

The original Idea for the set was monsters, and myth. Guess I accomplished that much. I'm going to stain them and build a Chess box. Pictures to follow
